One fiber-obsessed mama is setting out to bring fiber and joy to the world.
Folklore Fiber is (finally!) here, and I’m so excited to share yarn, fiber, and more with you! I hope you’ll find this blog and the website a treasure trove of inspiration for knitters, weavers, crocheters, and all the crafty creatives. Beyond just yarn and fiber, I hope to make this blog a resource and build a community around this dream.

My fiber-loving nerdy heart is so excited to invite you to step into a slightly magical space that weaves together my passion for fiber art and storytelling. As a writer and lover of history and folklore and fairytales, it has long been my dream to merge storytelling and fiber.
The history of fiber fascinates me: the cultivation of fiber animals and plant fibers, as well as the process to prepare, spin, and create finished textiles. And the history of folklore, oral storytelling, and how the threads of cultural beliefs were formed as people came together to spin, knit, weave and create the daily necessities for families and communities.

Fiber crafting depicted and romanticized throughout history
I believe we are still connected through the work of our hands and the spirit of our hearts. If you are so inclined to join me on the quest to find purpose, joy, and community through crafting and creating–look me up across the socials and jump into the Folklore Family! If you have a question or consideration for the blog or what you find on the website, please email me! folklorefiber@gmail.com
