“Positive Energy” –Hand-Dyed Fingering Weight Yarn

“Positive Energy” is a vibrant  orange with slight tonal qualities found in hand-dyed creations. Fingering weight yarn with generous yardage could allow for a pair of socks, accessories, or more. The solid and straightforward nature of this bright orange yarn offers possibilities as a stand-alone one-skein project, or combine for interesting colorwork or multi-color projects. Inspired by Litha and folklore of the summer season, this bright orange radiates  positive energy and promises of the sun.

Description

Blue-Faced Leicester wool, commonly called “BFL,” is almost as fine as merino, but stronger. Its light and resilient qualities lend to socks, shawls or a variety of accessories and garments. High-twist 4-ply wool with nylon offers increased strength. Machine wash gently, and air dry.

  • 75% superwash bluefaced leicester wool, 25% nylon
  • Approximately 3.5 oz., approx. 450 yds.
  • Approximately 30 sts per 4″ on US 2 (3mm)
